As soon as we’re born our bodies are constantly growing, changing, breaking and at times, confusing us. And the biggest changes, growths and confusions seem to come when we’re young, vulnerable and easily embarrassed. Yes, we’re talking about puberty. And yes, it sometimes can be hard to talk about. But, it doesn’t need to be. Put on some headphones and lean in as we break down the biology, chemistry and health topics of growing, changing and going up.

Dr. Tessa Commers
Host
Dr. Tessa Commers is a board-certified pediatrician (MD, FAAP) based in Seattle, WA. The best part of her job has always been answering the tough questions for adolescent patients. The ones that most teenagers otherwise avoid out of embarrassment or fear of repercussions. While on maternity leave, she missed these interactions so much that she started up Ask Doctor T. Tessa hails from Omaha, Nebraska. She received a Bachelor of Arts from New York University, a Master of Science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her pediatric residency was completed at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri. Thereafter her partner and her moved out to Seattle, Washington, and she has been enjoyed serving children and adolescents in the area and via TikTok ever since.

Producer
Emily, a Denver native, graduated from The University of Arizona in 2015 with a degree in communication and film. After graduating, she began her career at Creative Artists Agency and went on to work in the television department for 3 years. After CAA, Emily came to Group 9 Media and is currently the associate director of original programming and podcasting.
